CHANUKAH SAMEACH!

HAVE FAITH.

BE STRONG.

WE WILL OVERCOME

This Wednesday night, December 25th, we will light the first candle of Chanukah to bring light and warmth during the these challenging times, just as the Menorah light did after Maccabees overcame the Greek armies in those days.

The ideal time for lighting the Menorah on weekdays is about 20 minutes after sunset or as close to that as possible. The candles should remain lit for at least half an hour.

On Friday night, the Menorah is lit immediately before the Shabbat candles and should be large enough to remain lit until half an hour past sunset. On Saturday night, the Menorah is lit after nightfall.

The Maccabi fighters began every battle with a prayer and emerged victorious. Chanukah is a powerful time for prayer, even today.
